This is the start to our Lavender Orpington Project

**Lavender~AKA~Self Blue**

Thanks to a good friend, he has inspired us to do this

Here is one of the first Lavender (self blue) Orpingtons to be developed in the USA

More to follow on this project we are undertaking

We hope to have these available in time, they will be very limited

Lester will soon be breeding with Black Orps

Then we will breed him to his selected split daughters

We should then see lavender off spring in full color if every thing goes right.

Up-date 04-07-08: Lester is now breeding with Black Orp hens and doing his job very well for the past week, we will now be collecting eggs and be setting are first eggs in the next week or so OOPS! slight delay as we moved him and his girls to a new coop and run. we hope things get back on track as the hens stopped laying from this move.

Girls are back on track and laying again after being in the new coop awhile and getting use to it.

Well our first eggs hatched..we got 5 chicks out of 6 eggs see pics below

2nd hatch(6-2-08) another 6 chicks...6 out of 7 eggs hatched

3rd hatch(6-12-08) another 8 chicks..8 out of 8 eggs hatched

**Next & final hatch**there will be 18 eggs >>>>cooming soon...

Well are second hatch is on, 6 new split black/lavender orps hatched out with about 20+ Buff orp chicks
